Your P&C needs you! All P&C initiatives are operated on a volunteer basis only. This includes our uniform shop, dollarmites banking and various fundraising events. A big thank you to all the parents who have already contributed their valuable time either ongoing or for the one off events. We greatly appreciate any and all contributions.
If you are interested in volunteering, or have any questions surrounding volunteering, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or feel free to pop by the P&C Uniform Shop and have a chat with any one of us.
How you can help?
Our P&C is proud to be the sole providers of the Marie Bashir Public School Uniform. The Uniform shop is open on-site from 9 am to 10 am Wednesday mornings during term.
If you are able to help us out for approximately one hour, once a week, please come in and let us know.
No previous experience necessary, just a smile to welcome other parents and help them get their uniform needs.
Any profits go back to our school to hire teachers or provide additional resources.
We are looking for 1 to 2 parents per class to serve as a point of contact between class teachers and parents. This will require you to compile a parent class contact list (with parents written permission and a note will be distributed to you about this) and some other small tasks throughout the year. It’s a great way to get to know the other parents in your child’s class and contribute to the school community. We welcome anyone wishing to assist so please let us know if you’d like to be involved.
We have a small , but dedicated, team of parents who are searching and applying for grants. These have included:
- Crown Foundation & Packer Family Foundations Art Grant
- Club Burwood Music Grant
- Canada Bay Club Lego Grant
Mother’s Day Stall
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, we need a few Dads and Grandads to help sell to our children, to ensure Mum, Nan, Auntie, and those other important ladies in our lives are looked after.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK
At Marie Bashir Public School all volunteers are required to complete a Working With Children Check. The process is free, and very simple. Please click the link below, be sure to select ‘Volunteer’ and follow the steps through.
Once this is complete, please bring this into the office with 100pts of ID.
