Marie Bashir Public School P&C Association

Welcome to our P & C

Hello parents & carers! The Marie Bashir Public School Parents & Citizens Association welcomes you to our school. P&C’s make the difference between a good school and a great school!

The primary objective of the P&C is to bring the wider community closer together. This includes school staff, students and parents / caregivers. The P&C runs multiple activities throughout the year to help us achieve this aim.

A secondary objective of the P&C is to raise much needed funds for the school.

Here’s a list of all the resources the P&C donated to the school this year:

  • An Art Teacher for 3 days per week – $60,000
  • Kiln for Art Program – $18,000
  • Literacy & Numeracy resources – $17,000
  • Learning Support Teacher – $20,000
  • Laptops for STEAM – $14,000
  • Air-conditioners – $4,700
  • Musical instruments for orchestra – $9,000
  • P&C Community BBQ – $500

So, Who’s the P&C Anyway?

Well, it’s you! The parents and carers! The P&C is just a bunch of parents, grandparents, and carers who come together to help organise events, fundraisers and volunteer at P&C projects.

We are also an incorporated organisation and registered as a charity with ACNC.

The current P & C committee includes:
President: Yen Yee
Vice Presidents: Fan Wu & An Duong
Secretary: Isabel Galea
Treasurer: Karen Wang
Executive Members: Sam Mufti, Anne Lieu, PJ Sullivan & John Krebs

Marie Bashir Public School P&C Meetings

Be one of the first to hear from our Principal, Ms Attard and ask questions at our regular P&C meeting. Take the great opportunity to meet other parents by attending our P&C meetings held twice a term.

We now conduct our meeting via Zoom as a COVID precautionary measure.

Membership is only $1 per year, and this gives you voting rights to help our school towards quality education for our children. We invite you to our next Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 2nd December, 6.30pm. Non-members are most welcome to join the meeting.
